If you live at the junction of Faith and Recovery there is one elephant in the room. The elephant is God as I understand Him. The secular argument is about what difference it makes. Does God have a complex? If we take a liberal attitude to God then maybe some suffering person will feel free to come and get sober. This is reasonable on the surface. Recovery folk thinks a hard line on this is bigoted and harsh. I try to explain where this difference leads in this podcast. This is the junction between conservative and liberal theology. Listen I hope this explains a lot. But it will underline some important points to think about.

This podcast continues my experience years ago receiving what they called the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It was during the Catholic phase of my recovery. During the sessions, they explained what I now know were the ingredients they found were necessary to bring a person to Life in the Holy Spirit. In this podcast, I take on the most difficult portion of the series. This is the prayerful renunciation of spiritual practices that hindered this new life in the Spirit. In like manner I know I am confronting accepted associations with spiritual concepts which have worked their way into the hearts of even pentecostal churches. Many of the influences are in the very teaching material of some churches. Many affections of families are based on practices that are rooted in material that we did renunciate forty-plus years before,
